Ms. Stavros has over twenty-four years of experience in Real Estate Law, focusing on the purchase and sale of both residential and commercial real estate in Kentucky and Ohio. Her experience includes representing individuals, as well as lenders and mortgage companies in their needs during closings, such as title services and title insurance, and document preparation. Additionally, Ms. Stavros is skilled with land contracts, lease options, and deed preparations.

Real Estate transactions often go hand in hand with Estate Planning. Ms. Stavros has cultivated a significant amount of experience assisting her clients with retirement planning, wills, living wills, and powers of attorney.

After practicing for over fourteen years, Cathy decided to expand her practice to include Kentucky Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 Bankruptcy representing Debtors.

Catherine D. Stavros holds degrees from Transylvania University and Salmon P. Chase College of Law.

Cathy has been practicing law since 1991 and comes from a family of attorneys; her father, uncle and brother are also attorneys. She always knew she wanted to be an attorney and has enjoyed every day of practicing law. Cathy truly enjoys working with her clients and seeing them out in public and reconnecting with them.

In the legal arena, she is a member of the Kentucky Bar Association, the Ohio Bar Association and the Cincinnati Bar Association. For the Northern Kentucky Bar Association, she has served as President, Law Day speaker, Young Lawyer Section chair, Real Estate Section co-chair, Women’s’ Law section co-chair, board member, Kenton County Library Board Trustee.

She is an Affiliate Member of the NKY Association of Realtors and serves on the Affiliate Council, Public Relations Committee and twice recipient of the Affiliate of the Year award. With the Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce, she has served as a committee member for the Women’s Initiative Women’s Golf Outing, Business Education Success Teams and a member of the Leadership Class of 2001. She has been a presenter at the Northern Kentucky Association of Realtors for their continuing education as well as in the summer of 2013; she was the updated Author for the Kentucky Real Estate law and practice – Residential Purchase Agreements.

“Service to humanity is the Best Work of Life.” That phrase from Cathy’s days as both an Ashland Area and Kenton County Jaycee is still true to her today. She enjoys giving back to her community and working with various groups.

For her church, Holy Trinity-St Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, she is a member, past Mother’s Club president, and volunteer at the annual Panagyri. In the community, she has completed Governor’s Commonwealth Institute of Parent Leadership program, president of Kids Voting NKY, parent member for Randall K. Cooper High School SBDM (School Based Decision Making), a Girl Scout Troop Leader, Vice President of the Boone County Education Foundation, Secretary of the Boone Conservancy, Board Member of New Perceptions, and Board Member for R.C. Durr YMCA.

Ms. Stavros has two children and resides in Florence, Kentucky. The Stavros family enjoys watching sports, playing sports and dancing together at the annual Panagyri Festival as part of the Hellenic Greek Dance group.
